Detect Display View window

Detect Display View is the main window used for viewing cameras. There are three tabs within the Display View window: Detect Live View, Detect Recorded View, and Detect Incident View.

The Detect Display View window

The Detect Display View window is the interface for viewing live, recorded, and incident video.

To open a Detect Display View window, navigate to the main toolbar and click the View Windows. In the dropdown menu, select a Display View window to open.

If one or more windows shows a red dot, that means the window is already open.

On the left side of the window is the camera tree structure that provides an organized view of sites and buildings. Sites contains all of sites and cameras on the system. Buildings contains each building on the system and all of the cameras that are in the building.

As the camera tree structure is created, icons representing different types of locations can be selected for each site, to provide a quick visual aid. See Adding a new site for more information.

If a group is expandable, there will be a plus sign next to it. Click the plus sign to open the group and show the available cameras. Cameras with pan, tilt, and zoom capabilities are called PTZ cameras, and are identified by a camera icon with a blue swivel arrow underneath it. Fixed view cameras do not have the swivel icon.

Along the top are pane layout options ranging from a single camera to twelve cameras in a 4 by 3 configuration. Select the pane layout based on how many camera feeds you want to view.

Understanding the video pane

From the camera tree structure, video can be brought into a viewing pane by one of two methods: Either click, hold, and drag a camera icon to a specific viewing pane; or simply right click on a camera icon to load video into the next available pane.

The video pane contains several elements designed to allow the user to interact with the video.
