Detect Incident View

VIEW VIDEO (Understanding the Incident Library)

Detect Incident View is the third tab in the Detect Display View window. It is used to access all the available recorded Incidents.

Accessing an Incident

To access an incident, from the Detect Display View window, click on the Detect Incident View tab.

On the left side is the navigation tree that shows all of the previously recorded Incidents available to you. You can use the tree if you know what your Incident is called, or use the Search Panel to find what you’re looking for.

Search Panel

Once an Incident has been created, it can be searched for by keyword and/or by date.

You can type a keyword into the field, such as a camera or incident name, then click Search. The list displays only the incidents identified by that keyword.

You can also search by entering a date by typing into the Search field as Month DD, YYYY (April 05, 2019), or by clicking the drop-down arrow and using the calendar to select both start and end dates. Click Search, and the list displays only the incidents that happened during that time.

Pressing the Reset button will clear all the fields.

Playing back an Incident

Playing back an Incident works just like playing a Recorded View. Select a pane configuration based on how many camera feeds you want to view.

Using the navigation tree, load an Incident into the viewing space by either right clicking on an Incident, or dragging it to an empty pane. Dragging the incident into the viewing area will automatically set up the video pane layout based on the number of cameras involved in the recording. See Detect Display View for more information about the interface.

The timeline allows you to navigate within a specific Incident. The slider on the lower right is used to adjust the scope of the timeline. Slide left or right to adjust the span of the timeline to more or less time. This allows for quicker navigation and more accurate time marker placement.

The blue line in the timeline shows the recorded time of the incident in relation to the timeline.

Click the Notes button to show the notes associated with the Incident. Notes will always display the start and stop times. In our example, from an Interview Room session, there are also recorded notes, visible by the note icon on the timeline, and fully readable in the Camera Events window.
