Adding a new site

A site is a new location where cameras are placed and monitored. They are divided into six categories: Business Park, Downtown, Hospital, Park, School, and Interview Room.  New sites can be added either as a subdivision of an existing site, or as a new standalone location.

From the Detect Map View main toolbar, select Administrator > Edit > Camera Systems.

The Camera Systems window will open.

1 In the Cameras field, select where the new site will be in the hierarchy. In our example, the new site is created under the Top category. Click on the site in the map to populate the correct Latitude and Longitude coordinates.

2 Click the Site button. In the Site Parameters window, give the site a name, and select the site type. Click OK.

The new site is available in the Camera field, ready for the insertion of camera assets.
