Interview Room

VIEW VIDEO (Interview Rooms)

Interview Room is a feature that incorporates interview cameras into a single site, integrating them within the overall surveillance system. Just like any other site, the Interview Room requires permissions for live view, recorded view, and incident export, as well as access to the networks saved incidents folders. See Establishing user permissions for more information.

View available Interview Rooms by navigating to the Detect Map View main toolbar and opening a Detect Display View window.

Using the camera tree structure, navigate to an Interview Room site   .

In our example, notice three Interview Rooms. Interview Room 101 is online and recording, as indicated by the green camera icons. Interview Room 102 is offline and not recording, indicated by the red field and camera icons. If you try to initiate an interview when the room is not ready, an error message will tell you why the room is disabled.

A dark green field behind an Interview Room site indicates that an interview is in progress and has been initiated by the user on that terminal. This user can take notes and will be responsible for ending the interview.

A light green field behind the Interview Room site indicates that an interview is in progress and the user on the terminal has permissions to view and participate in the interview and take notes, but cannot end it.

The status of an Interview Room is shared system-wide.

When properly functioning, Interview Room cameras are always recording. The audio and video footage is saved on the Detect Appliance for a preset period and is reaped based on the ‘Days Recording’ field in the camera parameter settings. This reaping period can be adjusted by a system administrator. See Internal camera settings for more information.
