Point-and-Click PTZ

Some cameras* can take advantage of point-and-click camera manipulation. The standard controls still work (see Controlling a PTZ camera for more information), but this is a more natural, alternate way of manipulating the field of view.

* Currently Hanwha cameras utilize this functionality, but more models are being added. Ask your LEVERAGE rep for the most current list.

To use Point-and-Click PTZ, first load a camera into a Live Display View window.

Hold the ALT button, and left click on any part of the window to pan and tilt the camera to that location.

Drag Zoom

To zoom in to a specific area, hold the left mouse button down and draw a rectangle on the window.

The camera will pan and tilt toward the focus area, then zoom in to show the requested area (up to the maximum zoom capability of the hardware).

Hold the ALT button and right click on the window to zoom out at the current focal point.

Point-and-Click PTZ options also work on Hanwha cameras without physical PTZ capabilities (see Digital Zoom). In these cases, the software uses the digital image, not the camera, to “zoom” and move, but the controls are the same.

Mouse Wheel Zoom

Use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out at the current focal point. Roll the wheel forward to zoom in, and backward to zoom out.
