Group and user capabilities

Group and User capabilities are global and are selected either in the Groups tab, or as shown here in the Users tab. Start by selecting a group and assigning any global permissions that should be allowed. Next, any specific capabilities may be assigned to individuals within a group.

In the Group and User Capabilities field, boxes can be checked an unchecked to provide or revoke access to a group or a user capability:

•Administrator   Allows access to administrative settings and tools.

•Detect Event Manager   Allows user to initiate and manage Detect Events.

•Incident Viewer   Allows access to view all incidents within the Detect Incident Library.

•Incident Export Everywhere   Allows a user to transfer an Incident to any local or network location. Note, due to the sensitive nature of some Incident content, allowing this capability will prompt a confirmation dialog box.

•NVR Status Viewer   Allows access to the NVR tab on the Detect Map View toolbar.
