Configuring a GeoSpace

VIEW VIDEO (Understanding Geospaces)

A GeoSpace is configured within the Administrator Menu. Select Edit > Camera Systems to access the GeoSpace configuration tab. The GeoSpace tab allows creation and deletion, and editing of existing GeoSpaces.

Using the map functions, navigate to the area where you would like to create a GeoSpace.

1 From the GeoSpaces box click the Add button.

2 In the GeoSpace Parameters dialog box, enter a name for the GeoSpace and select a priority or leave at default (5). Click OK.

3 Create the geofence for the GeoSpace by selecting points in a sequential order. Select the first point by clicking a location on the map, then clicking the Add tab in the GeoSpace Points box. Don’t worry too much if the point is not exactly in the right place. It can be moved after creation of the GeoSpace.

The point is visible on the map as a black and white dot, and in the GeoSpace Points field as GPS coordinates.

4 Continue to add points to the map until your Geo Space is a completed polygon.

If you need to go back, adding an additional GeoSpace point can also be accomplished as follows:

Click on the GeoSpace point that comes sequentially before the new desired point. For example, if a new GeoSpace point is desired between GeoSpace points 2 and 3, click on 2.

Click on the map where the new GeoSpace point is desired.

Click the Add button.

Note: Hovering over the map will display the GeoSpace Point number.

The Stimulus field is where you assign which stimuli activate the action of the Geospace. Some of the stimulus options require additional sensors. See Assigning a GeoSpace response for more information.
