NVR Status

This window shows the status of every camera on an NVR. Access the window by navigating to the Detect Map View main toolbar > Administrator > Edit > Camera Systems.

1 In the Edit Camera Systems window, select the NVR tab, and then select an NVR from the list.

2 Click the Edit button below the NVR, and select NVR Status.

This window provides an easy way to check on the status of an NVR, as well as any cameras that are associated with it. Statuses that can be checked on an NVR include:

•Software revision

•Operating System version

•Amount of storage available

•The number of recording jobs assigned to the NVR

•The number of jobs currently recording

All of this information affects the quality and reliability of the whole VMS, so it’s important that this information is regularly monitored.

The Start And Status buttons are used to recalculate the Total Bytes Recorded, in order to obtain an accurate accounting of the data being used. Start begins the recalculation, and Status shows the process.
