Mapping stream profiles to camera OEMs

Each camera manufacturer provides the option to configure the video stream(s). Each stream profile is configurable based upon network requirements, restrictions, and other criteria.

In order to simplify terminology in a mixed camera environment, Leverage has standardized four standard stream profiles. It is up to the designer of the system to establish specific criteria for each stream, and it is highly recommended that these be documented as shown.

Recommended method to track stream profiles

System design includes establishing acceptable quality for live and recorded video, and if necessary, mobile requirements. Establishing video quality includes adjusting camera encoder parameters. It is recommended that for each camera OEM those encoder parameters be documented. These charts are samples that could be used for documentation purposes.
